What is the Links Kiosk?
The Links Kiosk is an assortment of links to web sites around the web that we believe are excellent tools in learning and improving your Italian. There is an assortment of links for language learning sites, newspapers, magazine, travel and other general content.

Click on the headers to open the panels to view the links. The panels remained closed on default to make the page more manageable to read. **Links open up into a new browser window/tab when clicked.

Podcasts
So what does that have to do with learning Italian (or any language)? Podcasts are a great way to practice your listening comprehension skills. Listen to the news in Italian, documentaries, radio programs...whatever! There are dozens of great podcasts out there that you can use to train your ear to hear Italian like the natives hear it.

SBS Italian Radio Program
SBS is located in Australia. Several times a week they have a radio news program totally in Italian which touches on issues in Italy, Australia as well as international news and commentaries.

Qui Italia
This is another excellent podcast run by Gianluca. He presents short conversations in a controlled and articulate manner. Gianluca's podcasts are currently focused on the regions of Italy, and he provides a nice overview of the regions, their gems as well as important cities and other cultural information.

Radio Arlecchino
Developed by the university of Texas, these podcasts focus on a particular grammar point. An excellent site if you are looking to develop a better understanding of a specific grammar point.

Il Sole 24 Ore
This popular Italian newspapers broadcasts several shows each day. Check out their Palinsesto (program schedule) to find out what is playing at any particular time - listen live or download the podcast.

RAI Uno, RAI Due, RAI Tre
Rai Uno, Due, e Tre have dozens of radio shows that are available as podcasts.

Tutto Cinema
If movies are your passion, this podcast from RAI International is for you. A new podcast is available each week.

RadioAlt
This web site features reviews of books and music. They also have an internet radio station which broadcasts interviews, music and more. A very interesting site, indeed! You can also download podcasts of interviews and book readings that are done periodically.

Online Groups and Forums
If you live in an area that lacks native speakers, the internet can be a great resource for practicing your Italian. There are several success online forums and groups for those interested in learning and improving their Italian. Online groups can be cheaper (usually free!) if a course/class is not available or affordable. Below is a list of some popular groups and forums:

Typically, the language used in journalism is vernacular and not too technical/literary so it is an excellent way to build up confidence and see Italian grammar in action, as well as understanding Italian culture:
